It's Going to Get a Little Windy: An Update Regarding Tropical Cyclone Alfred

UPDATE - 2.25PM SATURDAY 8 MARCH 2025

Thankfully Alfred has downgraded and is currently dumping rain acrost the south east but the damaging winds are no more.

We have made the decision to stay closed today but both stores will be open from 10am Sunday 9 March 2025.

This means a few things:

Brisbane City's Jump to Lightspeed Prerelease events are going ahead as scheduled.
All regular scheduled events will continue as planed.

Different parts of Brisbane have been affected differently so please only come to the store if it safe to do so. We can't wait to see you back in the seats for some gaming!

UPDATE - 10.00AM FRIDAY 7 MARCH 2025

Both stores will be closed on Saturday in addition to previously announced closures. We expect to open back up on Sunday (pending any damage to buildings or utilities - we'll update on the other side of it all).

This means a few things:

Clayfield's Jump to Lightspeed Prerelease is being moved to Saturday 15 March (check your emails if you have already booked a ticket)
Clayfield's RPG One-shot: Fiasco is cancelled. Your tickets have already be refunded in our system.
Brisbane City's Archazia's Island Launch is being moved to Saturday 15 March (check your emails if you have already booked a ticket)
Jump To Lightspeed Prerelease events at Brisbane City Sunday are expected to go ahead at the scheduled times (pending damage - see above)

Clayfield's Lorcana Launch is being moved to Friday 14 March (check your emails if you have already booked a ticket)
Pickups for Archazia's Island and Jump To Lightspeed will be available from Saturday at both stores.
Jump To Lightspeed Prerelease events and Brisbane's Sunday Lorcana Launch are expected to go ahead at the scheduled times (pending damage - see above)

Hey there gamers. Brisbane (where Vault Games is based) use to have a marketing slogan; Beautiful one day, perfect the next. That isn't going to apply for the next couple of days.

In case you've missed it, a cyclone is expected to make its way to Brisbane this week, so there's a few things you need to know about the stores as we deal with Alfie.

Courier Pickups Suspended from Tuesday

We will not be booking courier pickups from Tuesday 4 March until open on Monday 10 March. We don't want your order getting lost in transit if it can be avoided, and we don't want couriers worrying about picking up packages when they too should be preparing for the storm's arrival. This means that TUESDAY MORNING WILL BE OUR LAST PICKUP UNTIL NEXT WEEK. If there's something you're after, please ensure it's ordered by 9pm tonight so we have time to pack and send.

Any preorders that are due to arrive this week will be shipped out on Monday as well.

Ordered Products May be Delayed

No surprises here but we're expecting stock deliveries to be delayed this week as well. It's likely that any stock that hasn't arrived by lunch on Wednesday, is unlikely to arrive until next week. If you're waiting on something, please be a little patient. Parts of South East Queensland will be sideways for a day.

Stores Closed from 4pm Wednesday

The stores will be closed from 4pm Wednesday and won't open again Thursday (though we're playing Friday by ear). All events scheduled during the closure will be cancelled and, if you have purchased a ticket for an event on any of those days, it will be refunded.

If you are concerned about being able to make any events over the next few days, please reply to your order confirmation email if you would like a refund and we'll get that sorted.
