The strongest stars have hearts of kyber. A Wrap Up of the Ashes of the Empire Planetary Qualifiers Event
Our Premier-Constructed Star Wars: Unlimited Planetary Qualifier event happened over the weekend. So let’s run through what happened, who won, and how the day played out.
The Main Event
The condensed nature of PQs in Australia at the moment meant that this season was more localised in player attendance, with 25 total players attending the main event. This limited the event to five swiss-paired rounds before a Top 8 cut.
Despite the Cad ban on the horizon but not yet in effect, the meta moved to a world without him at the table. Though there was a wide spread of new combinations across the leaders and bases, Vigilance (Blue) was present in 16 of the 25 decks present, with the top 8 decks that featured blue varying only slightly in their mainboard and sideboard combinations.

As usual, some wild decks from the local community made good ground in the event, most notable of which was Alan's Thrawn + Yellow and Josh's Maul + Force Blue.
The final match came down to Chris R piloting a Dedra Meero + Collosus build against Lily H. and her Director Krennic + Blue. After a gruelling three games, it was Chris who gained the upperhand to close out the final game to win the match and the title.
