Gnarlwood Rumble @ Vault Games Clayfield - Sat 12 April

It has been months since the Skavendoom brought widespread destruction and devastation across the Mortal Realms. Many a soul has been lost in the ratacysm of warpstone and foetid claws. However resistance has mounted and small victories are being made by all the players across the realms.

Across many battlefields these stories are told and it is the time for heroes of all stripes to march a path to glory for themselves to and their compatriots. Will you be the last one left standing or will you be the collateral damage to someone else's glorious rise?

Join us at Vault Games Clayfield on Saturday 12th of April from 10am for The Gnarlwood Rumble! 

This event will be a competitive matched play event made up of 3 swiss-paired rounds, with a cut to Top 4 semi final then a Final game to determine the overall Grand Champion. There will also be a prize for the best painted warband (as voted on by your fellow contestants), a Best and Fairest award for the player with the most “Best Game” votes, and random door prizes awarded throughout the day!

10:00 - 10:25: Arrival and Registration
10:25 - 10:30: Official welcome, briefing, and first round pairings
10:30 - 11:45: Round One
11:45 - 12:00: Break and setup for Round 2
12:00 - 13:15: Round Two
13:15 - 13:45: Break for lunch and voting on Best Warband
13:45 - 15:00: Round 3
15:00 - 15:15: Top 4 Cut and Prizes for Participation, Best and Fairest, and Best Painted Warband
15:15 - 16:30: Semi Finals
16:30 - 16:35: Break and setup for Finals
16:35 - 17:50: Final Round and Prizes

Painting Guidelines

• Each model in the warband must be fully primed and painted with at least 3 different colours visible on the model.
• The bases on each model in the warband must be painted and have at least some form of flock or grass tuft on the base.
• Since this is an official event, all of the models in your warband must be official GW plastic. Kit bashes and certain 3D printed bits are welcome but must be painted to the standard above.

Tools of War (Player Requirements)

Every player will need:

• 1 x Warcry warband of no more than 1,000 points with accompanying tournament roster.
• Up-to-date fighter cards or fighter profiles.
• Up-to-date ability and reaction cards or Compendium rules for their warband.
• 1 x tape measure or range ruler.
• Enough Warcry tokens, counters, objective markers and dice to get through their games.
• Access to the Warcry Core Rules.

 Note: Terrain and game boards will be provided!

Additional Rules

During the event the following optional rules will be in effect and available for use; 

• Blessings
• Battle Traits

In the pregame discussion, you must disclose what blessings you have and on which fighters. You must also model something onto the fighter that can differentiate them as having a blessing. This can be as simple as painting words on the base, providing your own reminder tokens or even modelling something onto the fighter that makes them stand out.

If you forget about your blessings at any time during a game then the onus is on you for forgetting. You are responsible for keeping track of your own warband. You must select one Battle Trait that is legally allowed by your warband and this selection must remain the same throughout the entire tournament.
